Murray Todd, 1982.
Murray Todd was a vice-president of Canmar Drilling which operated the drilling fleet in the Beaufort Sea. Canmar Drilling was a wholly owned subsidiary of Dome Petroleum Limited. In later years Dome came under financial collapse and was purchased by Amoco Canada Petroleum Company Ltd. I first met Murray Todd at Todd Shipyards (same name is coincidental) in Galveston, Texas, where he was supervising the construction of the first two drillships in the Canmar fleet.
