Hendrik Zanen Dredge, Mckinley Bay, 1982.
It was necessary to provide a harbour in the Beaufort Sea that would be protected from the sea and deep enough for the ships of the drilling fleet. The Dutch dredges were brought in to dig a channel and a deep basin at Mckinley Bay, on the Tuktoyaktuk peninsula.
