He was a renaissance man, engineer, surveyor, architect, painter and author of "Je me souviens". My father Etienne-Eugène Taché called me "Clara" and for me he was"papa". He was a loyal Canadian, awarded the honour of Companion of the Imperial Service Order by King Edward VII. When I see the summer flowers around his building, the National Assembly, and when I see it lighted up at night, I think that if "papa" was still alive he would be very proud of his work.
