Lorsque je vois écrit ou j'entends ces 3 mots "JE ME SOUVIENS' je revois en pensée le monument rapellant le souvenir des Canadiens française qui allérent voluntairement outre-atlantique et donnèrent leur vie au cours de la guerre 1914-1919. Ce monument en granite solide, en forme de croix porte cette inscription sculptée sur la base "Je me souviens". Il a été érigé sur la Grande Allée à Québec à l'entrée des Cove Fields où Wolfe et Montcalm se livrèrent la bataille des Plaines d'Abraham. Ces deux généraux meurent au combat qui se dura qu'une vingtaine de minutes et 150 ans plus tard, des Canadiaens se porterent volontaires au risque de leur vie et combatirent conjointement avec les Anglaise et les Français sur le Continent.
