The head of the statue is a convenient perch for the many birds in the area. as their leavings will attest. Even the famous statues that I saw in Florence Italy were not immune to bird toiletry practices. This memorial in a beautiful New Westminster park needs some leveling as it was a little tipsy when I saw it.
