Ldg/Ck (O) Donald F. Burgess, Royal Canadian Navy

Mr. Burgess' main employment was as an officers' cook on the HMCS Huron. On D-Day, the Huron was running the approaches to intercept enemy ships or aircraft. At "Action Stations", Mr. Burgess was a gun loader. The Huron's main action came three days after D-Day when enemy ships arrived in the area.
