Sgt Harry H. Smith, 17th Duke of York's Royal Canadian Hussars

Mr. Smith was a wireless operator with a contact detachment of the 17th Duke of York's Royal Canadian Hussars. He was in the second wave to land at Normandy and was in a jeep with an officer and two other men. He describes the job as being "the ears and eyes of the infantry".
