Sgt Robert F. McMenemy, The Highland Light Infantry of Canada

Mr. McMenemy landed later in the day with a collapsible bicycle. He says the idea was "to jump on these things and just ride right through France". However there was heavy opposition and "things didn't work out quite that way". His group was not able to reach its objective, Caen, until July 8th.
