Sgt Robert W. Willshaw, The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Highlanders

Mr. Willshaw was a rifleman, one of those with collapsible bicycles, and his objective was the Carpiquet Airport, some 13 miles away, near Caen. However, they were pinned on the beach for about an hour after landing, spent that first night in Bény-sur-Mer, and were not able to get to the airport until a month later.
