Lt-Col W.G. Hamilton, MBE, CD, Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

Colonel Hamilton was tasked with coordinating the collection and repair of damaged equipment, (jeeps, tanks, guns, etc.), and says he spent a good deal of D-Day "crawling in a roadside ditch and trying to survive".
