The Dieppe Raid on August 19, 1942 lasted only nine hours but cost nearly
1000 lives. In this cemetery there are 955 graves of which 707 are Canadian
soldiers and airmen. The cemetery is located on the outskirts of the French
coastal town of Dieppe.
