Canada Cemetery, 1989
There are 261 Canadians buried here just north of Cambrai. They died in the final weeks of World War I.
He is referring to the eight headstones by the left wall in the Canada Cemetery. The community of Cambrai is just out of site in the direction of the War Cross.
Hi Harry
I just happened upon your site the other day - you have done a great job with your photos - very interesting. I want to mention that in your photo of the Cambrai World War 1 gravesite, the headstones against the wall are all members of the Candian 408 Bomber Squadron. Their Lancaster was shot down the night of June 12, 1945 over Cambrai. All were killed including my brother Pilot Officer Martin McDonald. Thought you might like to know that. I visited Cambrai a couple years ago.
