Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery War Stone, 1989
There are 2338 Canadians buried here near Nijmegan , Netherlands. They were killed near the end of the European war in 1945. This is also the site of the Groesbeek Memorial to the Commonwealth soldiers that died with no known graves in nearby battles. The two structures of the memorial can be seen to the left and right sides of the image. The War Stone is in the centre of the image.
