Monchy-le-Preux is located near Arras, France on the road to Cambrai.
On April, 14, 1917 a handful of the The Royal Newfoundland Regiment held
off massive German counter-attacks. Interestingly this is the same area
that Canadian Charles S. Rutherford, MM, MC, VC, won the Victoria Cross
on August 26, 1918.
