War Memorial, St. John's, Newfoundland, 1988

This is Newfoundland's major war memorial, originally built to commemorate Newfoundlanders killed in WWI. It is located in downtown St. John's. Newfoundland was an independent colony of the British Empire during both world wars and did not become a province of Canada until 1949.
