HMCS Haida, Toronto, 1990
Two Calgarians I know have close connections to the Haida. In wartime Chuck Mawer won the Distinguished Service Cross while serving on the Haida as a gunnery officer. In peacetime Captain Bill Wilson commanded the Haida as she was brought into this special berth to serve as a floating memorial in Toronto harbour.
