Charles Batchelor, North Battleford, Saskatchewan, 1988

Charles was wounded in the Battle of Vimy Ridge near "The Pimple" in April, 1917. As a result he had a steel plate placed in his head. In his note to me he said, "The Canadian Expeditionary Force played an important role in making Canada what it is. We are in a very good part of the country (westernCanada)".
