This gallery features a selection of Canadian war veterans that fought
in WWI. All were in battle. Charles Rutherford was the winner of the Victoria
Cross, the Military Cross and the Military Medal. These images put faces
to the remembrance of individuals who fought and survived. Their comrades
who didn't survive are represented in Canadian war memorials and cemeteries
in Canada and overseas.
