Mark Tennant engaged in combat during WWII, in Northwest Europe, as an officer of the Calgary Highlanders. He was seriously wounded several times and decorated for bravery and efficiency. On return to Canada he was discharged as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was called back into service in the years 1952 (Korean war) and 1963(Cuban Crisis). The photograph was taken at the rear of his home in Calgary. Currently(1996) he is in the Colonel Belcher (veterans hospital) in Calgary.
